Hawai‘i Aquaculture and Aquaponics Association Announces the
​Appointment of Dick Jones as Executive Director

HONOLULU, HI — [November 10, 2025] — The Hawai‘i Aquaculture and Aquaponics Association (HAAA)
today announced the appointment of Dick Jones as Executive Director. The position reflects HAAA’s
commitment to strengthening leadership capacity and advancing Hawai‘i’s aquaculture industry through
collaborative innovation, responsible growth, and community engagement.

Jones, founder of Tidepoint Group and former CEO of Blue Ocean Mariculture, brings more than three
decades of experience in seafood, aquaculture, and organizaGonal leadership to the state’s foremost
voice for industry expansion. His work bridges corporate, nonprofit, and entrepreneurial sectors, with a
focus on aligning sustainability, innovation, and economic opportunity across island and coastal
communities.

Under Jones’ leadership, HAAA will focus on building organizational strength, expanding partnerships
across the Pacific, and pursuing opportunities in workforce development, research, and marketing to
accelerate industry growth.

The appointment marks a new chapter for HAAA as it prepares to celebrate 50 years of supporting
aquaculture development in Hawai‘i.
